Grand opening of Las Grúas Skatepark.

The “Las Gruas Skatepark” which has ramps with Olympics standards had its grand opening day.

Sunday, October 9, was a special day for the sport of skateboarding in Sinaloa, since the first skate park for public use and with Olympic standards was inaugurated in the Costa Rica Sinaloa municipality.

The skate park is located in Plaza “Las Grúas” which means the cranes as in sugar processing cranes and whose space was donated by the Costa Rican municipal locality.

Likewise, the construction of this great project was financed by the Fair Trade Committee belonging to Divemex.

At the ribbon cutting we were accompanied by our general director Luis Antonio De Saracho, Juana Ochoa from.the Costa Rica labor syndicate, Nallely López Official Fair Trade and our Fair Trade committee.

Divemex, the Fair Trade Committee and the municipality of Costa Rica sought to make this project happen, aware that having a public skate park will be beneficial for both the athletes and the community itself.

Well, it helps to provide for the wellbeing of both physical and mental development of skateboarders, and at the same time, it contributes to updating and adding to the sports offer of the population.

Recently skateboarding became an Olympic sport, these new skate parks are expected to be the birthplace of future Olympic champions in skateboarding.
